Underworld Television Series Rumblings Return – Beckinsale for 6th Film Too?

Kate Beckinsale won’t be back for the fifth Underworld film – Underworld: Next Generation – but that doesn’t rule her out entirely should the franchise continue.
In talking with IGN this weekend, Len Wiseman – who has remained on board the series wearing multiple hats – said that they’re developing a number of projects in the Underworld universe, including the long-mooted television series.

Hate to break it to you Underworld fans out there, but Variety is reporting tonight that Kate Beckinsale will not be back for the fifth Underworld movie which was announced this month. ‘Sup with that, Kate?
The outlet says Theo James, however, will be back, reprising his role as “David” who we were introduced to in Underworld: Awakening.
Shooting is expected to begin next Spring for Lakeshore.

At 11:30am Pacific today, Sony’s Screen Gems is using Hall H to look ahead at some of its upcoming projects. A panel agenda has yet to be revealed, so there’s plenty for us to speculate about.
Is this the panel where Screen Gems officially announces the sixth film in the Resident Evil series? Paul W.S. Anderson has been quite vocal lately about the project. The last we heard, he was halfway through penning a script.
