The Pact Star Joins The Machine

We had been tipped off a few weeks ago that Caity Lotz was going to star in the sci-fi thriller The Machine and, this morning, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed the actress’ involvement.  The outlet adds Toby Stephens has also been cast.

Lotz most recently starred in The Pact, now available on VOD.  She also served as a guest on our video talk show Choice Cuts – you can watch the interview here.

Part sci-fi action thriller, part love story, The Machine is described as an intense futuristic twist to the classic horror of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.

Casting has begun on The Machine, a film described as a sci-fi/thriller mixed with a love story wrapped up in a “Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein”-like package.  Unveiled at Cannes, the project is to be directed by Caradog James and is produced by John Giwa-Amu and, this morning, we have a lengthy plot synopsis to share which reveals the filmmakers are definitely thinking “big” with this one.
