At 11:30am Pacific today, Sony’s Screen Gems is using Hall H to look ahead at some of its upcoming projects. A panel agenda has yet to be revealed, so there’s plenty for us to speculate about.
Is this the panel where Screen Gems officially announces the sixth film in the Resident Evil series? Paul W.S. Anderson has been quite vocal lately about the project. The last we heard, he was halfway through penning a script.
Anatomy director Stefan Ruzowitzky has come about Patient Zero (previously reported as “Patient Z”), reports Deadline. It’s the latest project from Screen Gems and, apparently, there have been some changes since we last told you about the film – they’ve removed the zombie element. Perhaps because Clint Culpepper at Screen Gems didn’t want to get overloaded on undead fare considering he’ll be overseeing another Resident Evil ?film soon.
