A New Evil, A New War in This Resident Evil: Retribution 3D Poster

Another Resident Evil: Retribution one-sheet has hit the web, a slightly different spin on what we’ve seen before.

Emphasis, once again, is being placed on the fact that the film’s events are going “global” as Milla Jovovich’s Alice and her pals take on Umbrella all around the world.

The new film opens on September 14th and we will be talking to the cast members involved soon, so stay tuned for those interviews.

Ada, Jill, Carlos and Rain Dominate Another Batch of Resident Evil: Retribution…

Four new images from Resident Evil: Retribution have surfaced once again at an international site, and, similar to the last batch that hit last week, they feature Ada Wong, Carlos, Rain and Jill Valentine (yum).

The Ada pic offers fans a good look at what kind of heat she’s packin’.  Carlos appears to be in Umbrella garb (we could be totally wrong), ditto with Rain and Valentine…well, she’s just looking hot.

The new film opens in 2D/3D on September 14th.

Creatures Come Out to Play in New Resident Evil: Retribution TV Spots

Screen Gems has debuted two new TV spots for their upcoming Resident Evil: Retribution, hitting 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theaters on September 14th.

The spots offer some new footage including a look at Barry Burton (Kevin Durand), some more Licker action, Roland Emmerich-style flooding and more Axemen than you can handle.  Actually, you probably could handle them, they’re big and slow.

Watch Out, Milla, This Resident Evil: Retribution Poster Has Zombies!

I could be mistaken, but is this a series first?  Is this the first Resident Evil movie poster to actually feature…zombies?  (I know in the U.S. there hasn’t been a trace of zombie action on the RE one-sheets as the focus has always been placed on Milla.)  IMP Awards landed a look at some international art for Resident Evil: Retribution.  It’s a spin on many of the promo items we’ve seen before, but it throws in a spoonful of the walking dead.  Zombies big.  Zombies running.  Zombies attacking from all angles.  Get some!  (And look for the movie September 14th.)

Comic-Con Exclusive: Talking Resident Evil with Director Paul W.S. Anderson

Although director Paul W.S. Anderson was making movies for many years before he tackled Capcom’s Resident Evil as a film, that’s the movie he’s become the most closely associated with, having written all five movies and directed three of them.

This September, the fifth chapter in the series, Resident Evil: Retribution, will open nationwide September 14th, bringing back not only Milla Jovovich’s Alice but a lot of characters from the previous installments – many of them who are dead – as well as introducing Ada Wong (Bingbing Li) and Leon Kennedy (Johann Urb) from the games.

Even though it may not seem like the movies have gotten that much bigger in terms of business since the first movie in 2002, the previous movie, Resident Evil Afterlife, which was the first one filmed in 3D, became a nearly $300 million global phenomenon. That may be why Resident Evil: Retribution is boasting its own global initiative as Alice and friends end up travelling to a lot of different places outside Raccoon City in this one.

Both Shock Till You Drop and ComingSoon.net have interviewed Anderson many times, but for one reason or another, this writer has never had a chance to even meet him, so it was cool to finally be able to meet and talk to this master of the horror and video game movie genre.

Comic-Con 2012: Live Blogging from the Resident Evil: Retribution Panel

In a few moments, the cast and crew of Resident Evil: Retribution will invade Hall H at Comic-Con at 4:05pm Pacific to discuss the fifth entry in the popular series.

We’re settling in to live blog the panel for you, dear reader, and give you the highlights as they happen!

Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, including the return of Michelle Rodriguez as Rain Ocampo, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion.

Appearing in person: Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, Oded Fehr, Boris Kodjoe, Mika Nakashima and writer/director Paul W. S. Anderson.

Alice Beats On a Zombie In New Resident Evil: Retribution Photo

Okay, so a new photo from Resident Evil: Retribution doesn’t exactly break new ground – as it finds Milla Jovovich’s Alice beating on some zombie ass – but it’s a new pic from the fifth film nonetheless.

The image surface within the pages of Entertainment Weekly, which is doing a big Comic-Con 2012 preview.  You can jump inside for a larger peek.

The film opens in theaters on September 14th and, of course, expect tons of coverage from SDCC next week!

New Resident Evil: Retribution Banner Finds Alice in a Wasteland

Sony’s Screen Gems revealed a new banner for Resident Evil: Retribution, opening September 14th. The tagline takes an Alice in Wonderland approach and screams “Alice in Wasteland” and finds Milla Jovovich’s heroine Alice walking amongst the ruins of wrecked Umbrella Corporation submarines.  Check out the banner inside.
