The split between Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke came as a shock to many, but it seems the former couple is navigating things quite well after announcing their split to the world.
Speaking alongside their Summer House costars in an interview with Kiki Monique and Dorinda Medley for SiriusXM’s Front Row series, Batula answered Monique’s question about how they were by saying, “Yeah, we’re good.” She then glanced at Cooke and added jokingly, “And that’s it. What’s next?”
Cooke also shared his perspective, saying, “I think every step we’ve taken, there’s a little bit like a weight has been lifted. Ironically, I think this last week, having pressed ‘post’ together, it was a little more light-hearted.”
Batula also said it has been easier for them to get along. “But we’re good. We talk all the time. We’re both traveling. So I’m watching the dogs [Reese and Ryder]. He’s watching the dogs. We’re coparenting the dogs together,” she added. “Still call him if I have questions.”
Cooke continued, “I mean look, more than anything, I want her to be happy. I want us both to be happy.”
Cooke and Batula announced their split in matching statements shared on Instagram Stories on January 19, 2026. “After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple,” the statement read. “We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing.”
Their relationship has been a central part of Summer House.
