With things heating up in Survivor Season 49, this week saw one major elimination, which also showed how playing both sides can backfire in the game. The season started as a Hina vs Uli tribe war, but recent episodes have proved that this season is more dynamic, with a wide range of possibilities making it unique.
Here’s who was eliminated in the latest episode of Survivor Season 49.

Who was eliminated on Survivor 49 Episode 9?
In the November 19 episode of Survivor Season 49, Washington political communications director Alex Moore became the third member of the jury. This happened after he was blindsided with six votes against him. Moore’s allies, Steven Ramm and Kristina Mills, were also blindsided as they voted for Sophi. Alex voted against Rizo, his target, while Rizo led the vote against Moore.
Moore ended up being outvoted and removed from the game. This happened because Alex was working with conflicting alliances. The strategy has been known to work to some extent in previous seasons. But it also carries the risk of backfiring, which it did for Alex.
“I can’t say I’m surprised, honestly. I was a little too loose of the lips, and that’s why I’m sitting here,” Alex said in his exit interview (via USA Today). He added, “I know everyone at home calls me a softie, but I killed two chickens. I brought home four fish for my tribe, and so I’m a lot tougher than I might think I am. And I know I’m a stronger person because of being out here.”
Sophi now remains the only member of the Kele tribe.
Now, the final eight survivors in this season are Jawan Pitts, Kristina Mills, Rizo Velovic, Sage Ahrens-Nichols, Savannah Louie, Sophi Balerdi, Sophie Segreti, and Steven Ramm.
Survivor Season 49 is available for streaming on Paramount+.
