Grey’s Anatomy cast members express support for Eric Dane
Eric Dane has revealed to the world that he has been diagnosed with ALS, and his Grey’s Anatomy co-stars have been very vocal about their support for the actor. Dane recently missed the Emmy Awards 2025 due to his health struggles. Entertainment Tonight spoke to several Grey’s Anatomy stars who expressed their support for Dane following the news.
“I reached out to him via text to tell him that, you know, we’re praying for him and that he’s not alone in this battle. He got back with me, and he called me Pick. He said, ‘Pick, I love you.'” James Pickens Jr said, “And I, it’s close to me as well because my longtime agent of over 35 years passed away from ALS…almost two years ago now. And I was actually with him when he disclosed his diagnosis. So it holds a very special part for me.”
Kevin McKidd spoke next about Dane and said, “His bravery is impressive. You know, I’m not sure how I would deal with it, honestly. I’d probably just, you know, lock myself away. I’m quite a private person. So, I’m really impressed by how he’s dealing with it and kind of shining a light on ALS, and I just wish him all the best.”
“You know, people make choices to do things in their own way. And, you know, once you’re no longer on the show physically, you’re still there, right? Because that’s just the way our show works,” Chandra Wilson said, “So, bless his heart and for having that grace to be able to let people into his journey.”
