Josh Ruben’s Werewolves Within Getting Limited Edition VHS Release

The fan-favorite horror-comedy Werewolves Within is getting a limited edition VHS release from Broke Horror Fan. The tape will go on sale next Tuesday, December 7 at 12:00 p.m. ET via Witter Entertainment.

According to Broke Horror Fan, the movie will arrive on VHS “in a black clamshell case with three versions to choose from: a standard edition with new art by Neil Fraser (125 stocked), a variant with the theatrical art (limited to 25), and a big box edition with Fraser’s art and a purple VHS tape (limited to 100).” A letter from director Josh Ruben will be included with each tape.

The site also notes that the VHS release was approved by the director and is officially licensed from RLJE Films and IFC Films.

Werewolves Within “centers on the small town of Beaverfield as a proposed gas pipeline creates divisions within the town and a snowstorm traps its residents together inside the local inn, with newly arrived forest ranger Finn (Sam Richardson) and postal worker Cecily (Milana Vayntrub) teaming up to try and keep the peace and uncover the truth behind a mysterious creature that has begun terrorizing the community,” reads the official synopsis.

Directed by Josh Ruben (Scare Me) and written by Mishna Wolff (I’m Down), the cast includes Sam Richardson (Detroiters), Milana Vayntrub (This is Us), George Basil (Crashing), Sarah Burns (Barry), Michael Chernus (Tommy), Catherine Curtin (Orange Is the New Black), Wayne Duvall (The Hunt), Harvey Guillén (What We Do In The Shadows), Rebecca Henderson (Russian Doll), Cheyenne Jackson (30 Rock), Michaela Watkins (Brittany Runs a Marathon), and Glenn Fleshler (True Detective).
