The Gifted Season 2 Promo Forces Mutants To ‘Pick a Side’

The Gifted Season 2 Promo Forces Mutants To ‘Pick a Side’

Last season on The Gifted, the Mutant Underground was split after Polaris defected to the Inner Circle and literally brought a plane down to kill some of their greatest enemies. Next month, The Gifted is returning for its second season on Fox, as this world without the X-Men continues to unfold. In the latest promo for The Gifted Season 2, the Inner Circle’s Reeva Payge (Grace Byers) calls out the X-Men by name for their failed ideology of peaceful co-existence between Mutants and humans. Reeva’s presence is so overpowering that we barely get a glimpse of Thunderbird, Eclipse, Reed Strucker, and the remaining members of the Underground. Instead, the focus is on Polaris, the Stepford Cuckoos, and the rest of the Inner Circle.

There also appears to be a scene depicting Polaris in labor as she gives birth to her child with both Andy and Caitlin Strucker by her side. There’s also a foreboding tone as Reeva advocates a more militant group of Mutants and urges everyone to “pick a side.” There are also a few characters in there who aren’t immediately recognizable, which may mean that the conflict will unfold with several additional players as the action moves to Washington D.C..

Stephen Moyer headlines the series as Reed Strucker, alongside Amy Acker as Caitlin Strucker, Sean Teale as Marcos Diaz / Eclipse, Natalie Alyn Lind as Lauren Strucker, Percy Hynes White as Andy Strucker, Coby Bell as Jace Turner, Jamie Chung as Clarice Fong / Blink, Blair Redford as John Proudstar / Thunderbird, Emma Dumont as Lorna Dane / Polaris, and Skyler Samuels as the Stepford Cuckoos, Michael Luwoye is also joining the cast this season as Erg, the leader of the Morlocks,

The Gifted Season 2 will premiere on Tuesday, September 25. You can watch the new promo below.
