Jackie Chan Gets Revenge in The Foreigner Trailer and Poster

The IRA took his family. The police looked the other way. Now he must get revenge. GSC Cinemas has revealed the first trailer for STX Entertainment‘s dark revenge thriller The Foreigner, starring Jackie Chan (Rush Hour, Shanghai Noon) and Pierce Brosnan (Mama Mia!, The World’s End). Check out The Foreigner trailer below, along with a new poster in the gallery!

The Foreigner is a timely action thriller from the director of Casino Royale. The film tells the story of humble London businessman Quan (Chan), whose long-buried past erupts in a revenge-fueled vendetta when the only person left for him to love — his teenage daughter — is taken from him in a senseless act of politically-motivated terrorism. In his relentless search for the identity of the terrorists, Quan is forced into a cat-and-mouse conflict with a British government official (Brosnan), whose own past may hold clues to the identities of the elusive killers.

The film re-teams director Martin Campbell (Casino RoyaleEdge of DarknessGreen Lantern) with Brosnan, whom he directed in 1995’s 007 film Goldeneye. David Marconi (Live Free or Die Hard) adapted the screenplay from Stephen Leather’s novel “The Chinaman.” Ray Fearon, Rory Fleck Byrne, Stephen Hogan, and Michael McElhatton co-star.

STX will release The Foreigner on October 13, 2017.
