Unable to believe in a god that could let such a terrible thing happen, Mack finds himself growing distant from a wife (Radha Mitchell) and a family that needs him now more than ever. Mack opens the mailbox one day to discover a mysterious letter signed from “Papa” (his wife’s nickname for God) that invites him to a meeting in the shack where his daughter died.
