All those who ever wondered what a grizzled, sober Mel Gibson would be like at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting can wonder no more as Lionsgate Premiere reveals a new Blood Father clip which you can check out below, along with a new poster and lots of new stills in the gallery!

Mel Gibson stars as John Link, an ex-convict who must protect his estranged daughter (Erin Moriarty) from violent drug dealers. The action thriller also stars William H. Macy, Thomas Mann, Elisabeth Rohm, Diego Luna and Michael Parks.

Written by Peter Craig (The Town) and directed by French helmer Jean-Francois Richet (Mesrine), Blood Father opens in theaters August 12.
