A fish out of water comedy, Kindergarten Cop 2 will be available directly on DVD, Digital HD and On Demand May 17, 2016. Assigned to recover sensitive stolen data, a gruff FBI agent (Dolph Lundgren) goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher, but the school’s liberal, politically correct environment is more than he bargained for.

The original Kindergarten Cop, directed by Ivan Reitman, hit theaters in 1990. Also starring Penelope Ann Miller, it went on to gross more than $200 million at the worldwide box office. It is well remembered today for memorable Arnold Schwarzenegger lines like “It’s not a tumor!” and “Who is your daddy and what does he do?” It is unknown at this point whether Kindergarten Cop 2 will share any continuity with the original film outside of the title and identical premise.

Directed by Don Michael Paul (Jarhead 2: Field of Fire, Tremors 5: Bloodlines), Kindergarten Cop 2 is written by David H. Steinberg and Murray Salem and Herschel Weingrod & Timothy Harris. The comedy also stars Bill Bellamy (White Collar, Royal Pains), Sarah Strange (White Noise, Level Up) and Aleks Paunovic (This Means Way, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monstersalong with an ensemble of young actors.

Special features on the Kindergarten Cop 2 DVD include deleted scenes, a gag reel and a behind-the-scenes featurette titled “Kindergarten Cop 2: Undercover.”
