Seth Rogen will take a dramatic turn as Steve Wozniak in the upcoming Steve Jobs, but don’t worry, he will go right back to his usual comedic self in The Night Before, a new comedy from 50/50 director Jonathan Levine starring Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie as three childhood friends who reunite in New York City for their annual tradition of going out on Christmas Eve.
Written by Levine, Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir, The Night Before is being sold as a project “from the guys who brought you Neighbors, This Is The End and ALMOST The Interview,” which frankly is more than enough to get me in the theater.
Add to that the cast, the fact Levine is directing, and a couple really funny bits in the red band trailer below — namely the central characters covering Kanye West‘s “Runaway” at a toy store on a giant floor piano, Big style — and I’m sold.
