20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for The Martian, the latest movie from Ridley Scott (Prometheus) and starring Matt Damon as astronaut Mark Watney who finds himself stranded on Mars after he’s presumed dead following a fierce storm. Alone on the planet he must do everything he can to survive while, back home, NASA and a team of international scientists work to bring him home, and his crewmates concurrently plot a rescue mission.
Along with Damon the film co-stars Jessica Chastain, Jeff Daniels, Donald Glover, Aksel Hennie, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kristen Wiig, Mackenzie Davis, Kate Mara and Sean Bean.
The Martian releases in theaters on Nov. 25, check out the trailer, some pictures and the first poster for the movie below.
