One Final ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Trailer

I’ve seen a lot of complaining when it comes to the marketing for films such as Avengers: Age of Ultron and Jurassic World about the studio showing you too much. In a post I added yesterday highlighting the Indominus Rex from Jurassic World some commenters said they wished the studio had held off on revealing it and left a little something for the movie. Well, you do realize you don’t have to look at the pictures just as much as you don’t have to watch all the clips and trailers… right? In fact, I’m seeing Avengers tonight and despite how many trailers I’ve posted on this site I still haven’t seen one in its entirety, though the same can’t be said for the movie I’m previewing right now.

Warner Bros. has marketed the hell out of Mad Max: Fury Road, though unlike Avengers, this one doesn’t exactly sell itself, at least not to the general public, and considering the $150 million budget and what will most likely be another $150 million marketing spend, WB wants to do its best to ensure you’re showing up to see this one on May 15.

Starring Tom Hardy as the title character with Charlize Theron playing the elite Imperator, Furiosa, Fury Road finds Max swept up with Furiosa and her post-apocalyptic band as they attempt to escape the Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows. Zoe Kravitz, Adelaide Clemens, Nicholas Hoult, Riley Keough, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Megan Gale and Abbey Lee co-star.
