With the number of comic book adaptations coming to theaters nowadays it seems a few can get lost along the way and, for me, Josh Trank‘s Fantastic Four is one of those films. It just feels like a movie that’s already been released or almost a surprise like, “Oh, yeah… I remember that one, is it out yet?” Well, it’s not, but it’s coming and Fox is periodically reminding us of that fact and today we have five such reminders.
First is an international trailer with a little bit of new footage that dropped just ahead of the weekend and second are four featurettes focused on the cast and their super-family alter-egos. This includes Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as the Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as The Human Torch and Jamie Bell as The Thing. The cast profiles feature screenwriter and producer Simon Kinsberg and Trank chatting about each character.
Fantastic Four will be a bit of a late comer to the summer movie session, arriving on Aug. 7, check out the new trailer and featurettes below.
Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
