Watch: First International Trailer for ‘Dark Places’ Based on the Gillian Flynn Novel

All the way back in Dark Places. However, since then we’ve seen Gone Girl come and go to much acclaim and A24 as still not set a release date for the film. Things, however, are moving internationally on the feature directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner as we’ve already seen a poster and now we have the first international trailer.

Adapted from Flynn’s bestselling 2009 mystery novel, Dark Places centers on a woman who survived the brutal killing of her family as a child is forced to confront the events of that day by a secret society obsessed with solving notorious crimes. Along with Theron the film co-stars Christina Hendricks, Chloe Moretz, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Drea de Matteo and Corey Stoll.

The film does have an MPAA rating so that’s squared away, perhaps we’ll hear more about a domestic release date soon. Meanwhile, here’s the Dark Places trailer as it hits French theaters on April 8.
