Remember that movie Hot Pursuit from 1987, starring John Cusack? You know, the one where he goes to the Caribbean trying to find his girlfriend on vacation. Apparently, this new Hot Pursuit has absolutely nothing to do with that film. How dare they mislead me by using the title of that ’80s classic! (If you haven’t seen it, you aren’t missing anything).
Instead, this is a buddy action comedy starring Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara, everyone’s favorite comedians. Wait, they aren’t? Well, this is certainly news to me. This whole film is news to me, actually. I also don’t go seeking information about films starring Sofia Vergara, so I guess that makes sense.
The first trailer, as well as three pictures, are available for your eyes to see below. With a rather unimpressive buddy duo in the leads and coming from director Anne Fletcher (27 Dresses, The Guilt Trip), my excitement for this could be described as “a complete lack there of.” But if you feel so inclined, check out the stuff below.
