I can’t really figure out what was supposed to be the “biggest” movie to be revealed during the onslaught of trailers during the Super Bowl, most of them coming from NBC partner Universal, but I have to assume Tomorrowland, from director Brad Bird, caught some people’s attention. Set for release on May 22 and starring George Clooney, the trailer was the film’s general audience coming out party after the first trailer premiered back in October, but did this one leave much of a mark?
Tomorrowland finds former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embarking on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” What they must do there changes the world–and them–forever.
