Flynn Considers ‘Gone Girl’ Sequel, Caruso Considers ‘G.I. Joe 3’ & the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Golden Globes Trailer

[amz asin=”B00Q5996EQ” size=”small”]Gone Girl hits DVD and Blu-ray today and screenwriter Gillian Flynn is out and about chatting with the press, offering up nuggets of information such as word she would be up for getting the gang back together in a couple years for a sequel. “There could be a sequel at some point if everyone is game to get the gang back together, it could be really fun a few years from now,” she told The Daily News. “We could pick it up and see what those crazy Dunnes are up to a few years down the road and if they got on — not well I don’t think.” Um, spoiler Gillian!

I’m not exactly sure where they could take a sequel, though their marriage counseling sessions might be interesting and I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if their child ends up a lot like Ezra Miller in We Need to Talk About Kevin.

Next comes news that after Jon M Chu decided to go make Jem and the Holograms instead of G.I. Joe 3 and Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) passed on the idea, DJ Caruso is in talks to direct the currently undated sequel. Caruso hasn’t made a movie since the failed I Am Number Four, which, in my mind, makes him a perfect candidate for the next Joe feature. [THR]

Finally, the following trailer for Fifty Shades of Grey premiered during the Golden Globes and people like watching trailers so here, watch it.
