Last night I listened to one of the new tracks curated for the The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part I soundtrack by Lorde called “This Is Not a Game” by The Chemical Brothers featuring Miguel and Lorde and it is a nightmare (listen below).
In addition to this, the full soundtrack listing has been posted and goes as follows:
- Meltdown – Stromae ft. Lorde, Pusha T, Q-Tip & Haim
- Dead Air – CHVRCHES
- Scream My Name – Tove Lo
- Kingdom – Charli XCX ft. Simon Le Bon
- TO BE ANNOUNCED
- Lost Souls – Raury
- Yellow Flicker Beat – Lorde
- The Leap – Tinashe
- Plan The Escape (Son Lux Cover) – Bat For Lashes
- Original Beast – Grace Jones
- Flicker (Kanye West Rework) – Lorde
- Animal – XOV
- This Is Not A Game – The Chemical Brothers ft. Miguel
- Ladder Song – Lorde
“It was really important to me with the soundtrack that people know how involved I was,” Lorde said in an interview with Billboard. “A lot of that was me reaching out to people directly, having a conversation on the phone, sending an email, sending a text, because I wanted people to know that your song isn’t just going to be flung into some pot and chosen later. I really cared about what was happening.”
Finally, I have a new trailer for the movie that was premiered on the Doritos page at YouTube, because apparently while Panem falls into utter despair there will still be Doritos in the Capitol!
