Warner Bros. has revealed the first trailer for Focus, the new film starring Will Smith and The Wolf of Wall Street‘s Margot Robbie.
Described as a conman rom-com from Crazy, Stupid, Love directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, Focus centers Nicky (Smith), a seasoned master of misdirection who becomes romantically involved with novice con artist Jess (Robbie). As he’s teaching her the tricks of the trade, she gets too close for comfort and he abruptly breaks it off. Three years later, the former flame–now an accomplished femme fatale–shows up in Buenos Aires in the middle of the high stakes racecar circuit. In the midst of Nicky’s latest, very dangerous scheme, she throws his plans for a loop…and the consummate con man off his game.
I didn’t watch the whole trailer, but I did grab the screen capture for the top of this post, and is it me or does that look like the exact same spot Leonardo DiCaprio and Matthew McConaughey had their chest-thumping conversation in Wolf of Wall Street?
WB has set a February 27 release date for the film, check out the trailer below.
