Focus has released a brand new trailer for James Marsh‘s The Theory of Everything, a film I caught in Toronto and in my review where I called it a film that’s “just about as perfectly composed as a biopic can get if the goal is to appeal to a wide audience… a well-told drama that’s romantic, filled with emotional highs and not-so-low lows as well a smattering of humor.” Oh, and the performances from Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne are spot on excellent.
Here’s the official synopsis:
This is the extraordinary story of one of the world’s greatest living minds, the renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking (Redmayne), who falls deeply in love with fellow Cambridge student Jane Wilde (Jones). Once a healthy, active young man, Hawking received an earth-shattering diagnosis at 21 years of age. With Jane fighting tirelessly by his side, Stephen embarks on his most ambitious scientific work, studying the very thing he now has precious little of – time. Together, they defy impossible odds, breaking new ground in medicine and science, and achieving more than they could ever have dreamed. The film is based on the memoir “Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen“, by Jane Hawking, and is directed by Academy Award winner James Marsh (Man on Wire).
The Theory of Everything will begin hitting theaters on November 7, check out the new trailer below.
