It should be interesting to see how good (or bad) Disney’s Planes: Fire & Rescue. The sequel arrives on July 18, on the heels of last year’s Planes, which was originally slated to go direct-to-video, but eventually went on to gross over $219 million worldwide on a $50 million budget despite largely negative critical reviews. The big question is, will Fire & Rescue be of the same quality as the first film or have they treated this with the care of a film worthy of the big screen… as if the bar is really all that high nowadays.
Back again is Dane Cook as Dusty and he’s no longer racing, but now helping fight wildfires with veteran fire and rescue helicopter Blade Ranger and his air attack team, including Lil’ Dipper (Julie Bowen), heavy-lift helicopter Windlifter, ex-military transport Cabbie and a bunch of brave all-terrain vehicles known as The Smokejumpers.
The first full trailer for the film arrived today. Give it a look below.
