I can’t quite figure out what Fox is going for with the paper marketing of this film as every poster I’ve seen in theaters essentially features one of the character’s faces without any context. The film’s title may be Epic, but with that kind of marketing the film looks anything but.
The synopsis tells us this is the story of an ongoing battle deep in the forest between the forces of good and the forces of evil. When a teenage girl finds herself magically transported into this secret universe, she must band together with a rag-tag team of fun and whimsical characters in order to save their world… and ours.
I only skimmed through the trailer looking for the above screen capture, but from what I can tell we’re looking at a film with Christoph Waltz voicing the villain, Beyonce Knowles voices the hero or some kind of “to-be-respected” character and Chris O’Dowd and Aziz Ansari voice talking snails. I’m up for giving it a chance… you?
