‘Silent Hill’s Nasty Nurses, Trailer for ‘Solomon Kane’ and Opening Minutes of ‘Step Up 4’

Let’s be honest, the three films in the headline could just as easily go directly to video as they could to theaters and no one would know the difference. But, come on, when I offer up such a menagerie of titles in one epic post loaded with content so intense it will make your eyes bleed you get a little excited. Yeah, thought so.

We’ll begin with the needless sequel to the film everyone forgot, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. Yup, this one is coming right atcha and just above is a new picture of Adelaide Clemens, whom most are more likely to get to know as one of the “Five Wives” in the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road than they are from this film, but what the hell, let’s give it a look.

The flick center on Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father (Sean Bean) whom have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. On the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever.

Along with the picture above, Open Road has released the following clip from the film titled “Nurses”. Silent Hill: Revelation will hit theaters on October 26.

Next we have a film I’ve been writing about since 2008 and of which I saw a sizzle reel for back at Solomon Kane had finally been rated and was coming to theaters on September 28 from TWC-Radius, which will also release it On Demand a month earlier on August 24.

The film first hit premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and played in international theaters in 2009 and is an adaptation of the pulp novels of Robert E. Howard, author of “Conan the Barbarian,” first serialized in the 1920s and ’30s, centering on a mercenary (James Purefoy) who owes his soul to the devil redeems himself by fighting evil. Along with Purefoy the flick actually includes Max von Sydow and the late Pete Postlethwaite as members of the cast along with Rachel Hurd-Wood, Alice Krige and Mackenzie Crook.

And finally we come to Step Up: Revolution, the fourth film in the franchise and the second set to be released in 3D. Summit has released the opening three minutes from the film to get your ready for a little “protest art”.

The film hits theaters on July 27.
