Okay, I noticed a small thing while searching through this new international trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation that has me scratching my head, but I may be over-thinking it or just seeing it out of context makes it a little confusing.
Around the 44-second mark the President of the United States (Jonathan Pryce), who is actually Zartan (Arnold Vosloo) at that moment, talking with his government peeps (most likely the Secretary of Defense et al.) and brings in advanced weapon technology that belongs to the terrorist organization known as Cobra, which is clearly evident by the logo on the suitcase. My question is to ask at what point do the people in the room begin to wonder what the hell is going on? Is it only after he blows up London?
It’s a small curiosity, because after that it appears Cobra takes over the US government and so forth, but I just hope there is never a inkling of consideration by the rest of the President’s staff as to the whole “working with a terrorist organization” thing. That would be pretty dumb. I’m hoping for more of an all-out government takeover.
With that, here’s the latest international trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation which hits theaters on June 29.
