Dreamworks has debuted the first trailer for the upcoming CG-animated feature Rise of the Guardians based on the forthcoming books by William Joyce, who just so happened to be a writer on the recent Oscar-winning animated short The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore.
Directed by Peter Ramsey (Monsters vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space) and co-directed by Joyce, the film features the voices of Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher and Jude Law in a story that brings together well-known childhood legends with Baldwin as North (Santa Claus), Jackman as Bunnymund (Easter Bunny) and Fisher as Tooth (Tooth Fairy) as they set out to battle an evil spirit known as Pitch (Law) who lays down the gauntlet to take over the world. The immortal Guardians must join forces for the first time to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children all over the world.
The film is set to hit theaters on November 21.
