Watch a ‘Total Recall’ Trailer Teaser

Briefly there was an international trailer that popped up online that I had to take down, but now Sony is preparing to unleash the first trailer for Total Recall this Sunday, April 1, between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat broadcast nationally on ABC and in advance of that premiere they are offering the following 30-second trailer teaser.

However, those anxious for the full official trailer, following the its television premiere, an extended trailer will debut online, which I will have for you here on RopeofSilicon.com.

Total Recall is a remake of the 1990 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and aims to bring a new adaptation of the short story “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale” by Philip K. Dick. The story centers on Rekall, the company that can turn your dreams into real memories, and a factory worker named Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell) decides to take a perfect vacation from his frustrating life, opting for a life as a super-spy. But the procedure goes horribly wrong, and Quaid finds himself a hunted man, on the run from the police when he has to team with a rebel fighter (Jessica Biel) to find the head of the underground resistance (Bill Nighy) and stop the bad guys. Also part of the cast are Bryan Cranston, Kate Beckinsale, Bokeem Woodbine, Ethan Hawke and John Cho.

The film is directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld) and will hit theaters on August 3 and along with the trailer teaser below, I’ve added some screen captures to the gallery, which you can check out right here.

If anything, I’ll say this is a pretty solid little teaser, much better than most of these inconsequential trailer teasers we have been getting.
