This Sunday, HBO will premiere “Game Change” taking a look at the Republican side of the 2008 Presidential election with a particular emphasis on Sarah Palin with Julianne Moore taking on performance duties. From what I’ve read it’s quite good as is Moore along with Woody Harrelson. However, there’s another political piece coming out, this one of the short film variety as Davis Guggenheim, the the Oscar-winning director of An Inconvenient Truth directed a short documentary titled The Road We’ve Traveled, which will take a look at Barack Obama‘s first term in office.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a more elaborate piece of campaign material and it really shows just how deep Obama’s campaign pockets are as they got Tom Hanks to narrate the trailer and most likely the entire, 17-minute film itself.
Need a refresher on what’s happened under Obama’s watch? Well how about a little movie? Hanks asks, “How do we understand this president and his time in office?” Well, Mr. Hanks, I guess a documentary with two Oscar winners involved is a good place to start.

I wonder if Mitt Romney has reached out to anyone yet to make his documentary.
