New Trailer and Poster for Laika’s Stop-Motion Feature ‘ParaNorman’

Focus Features has released a second trailer to promote their upcoming stop-motion feature ParaNorman from Laika, the creators of Coraline. The film is directed by Sam Fell and Chris Butler and features Kodi Smit-McPhee as the voice of Norman, a young boy who finds himself in very much the same situation as Cole Sear in that he sees dead people. He’s considered weird until one day his unique gift just might save his townfrom ghosts, witches and zombies.

I try not to watch trailers, but I gave this one a look and it looks pretty good. Along with Smit-McPhee, the voice cast includes John Goodman, Tucker Albrizzi, Casey Affleck, Anna Kendrick, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Leslie Mann, Jeff Garlin, Elaine Stritch, Bernard Hill, Alex Borstein, Tempestt Bledsoe and Hannah Noyes and it is set to hit theaters on August 17.
