“Jimmy Kimmel Live” held its annual “After the Academy Awards” special and at the opening there was a lengthy, eight-minute trailer for Movie: The Movie featuring pretty much everyone in Hollywood. The goal was to essentially put every genre, plot line and star in one film and I think they succeeded.
My favorite moments definitely include Christoph Waltz in the Footloose bit, Matt Damon as the Fruit of the Loom grape guy and definitely Gabourey Sidibe as Black Hitler riding a meteor hurtling toward Earth that must be stopped by George Clooney as “a brilliant, disabled NASA scientist.”
Who else is in it? Glad you asked, how about Ryan Phillippe, Jessica Alba, Taylor Lautner, Antonio Banderas, Edward Norton shares a kiss with Josh Brolin as George W. Bush, Colin Farrell giving a high five to a “dog who plays sports”, Charlize Theron, Tom Hanks as Robo-Lawyer, Bryan Cranston, Jeff Goldblum, Gary Oldman as a Centaur, Cameron Diaz, Samuel L. Jackson, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Jason Bateman, Kevin James, Daniel Day Lewis as Tyler Perry as George Washington, John Goodman, Don Cheadle, Matt Damon, Kate Beckinsale, Chewbacca, Danny De Vito, Meryl Streep in a mustache, Helen Mirren, Christoph Waltz, Matt Damon (who will be cut out of the movie, George Clooney and Gabourey Sidibe.
The film is a romantic action thriller comedy drama based on the novel “Push” by Sapphire directed by J.J. Abrams and Martin Scorsese and produced by Michael Bay and a new original song by Steven Tyler. It will never be made, but it even has an official site.
Wanna see the trailer? Have a look below. It’s a little long, but I think it offers enough laughs to be worth watching.
