I don’t think a trailer can really sell Mike Leigh’s superb Another Year as much as recommendations from film critics you trust. Hopefully I am one of those critics as I have done my very best to mention the film whenever I can, even finding a way to mention it in my review of Heartless earlier today and debating whether or not Lesley Manville’s standout performance should be nominated for Best Actress or Supporting Actress at the upcoming Oscars.
I saw the film at Cannes earlier this year and in my review I couldn’t say enough about how great it is.
In the film’s trailer gallery here on RopeofSilicon I have the international trailer as well as three clips for you to watch. I guess showing you this new domestic trailer from Yahoo couldn’t hurt, but I feel as if I haven’t convinced you yet there may be no doing so.
Another Year hits limited theaters on December 29 and will expand throughout early 2011.
