Apple has debuted the teaser trailer for Universal’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World directed by Edgard Wright (Hot Fuzz) and based on the Oni Press comic book series by Bryan Lee O’Malley.
This is a trailer that has been hotly anticipated by several people in the online world, but not being a comic reader I have absolutely no idea what the big deal is. Perhaps you can watch the trailer below and give me some indication what the fuss is about.
The film centers on Scott Pilgrim (Cera), a 22-year-old bass guitarist for garage band Sex Bob-omb who just met the girl of this dreams Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and now her seven evil exes are coming to kill him.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World stars Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Alison Pill, Brandon Routh and Jason Schwartzman hits theaters on August 13.
