New ‘Shrek Forever After’ Trailer Relies on Donkey and Kitty Porn for Laughs

Yahoo has just debuted the first theatrical trailer for Shrek Forever After, and it pretty much sums up the reasons why Pixar has managed to stay on top and Dreamworks has suffered a series of disappointments in their CGI-animated feature. Where Pixar relies on story, Dreamworks concentrates on potty humor and pop culture references. Of course, it hasn’t been a huge issue for Dreamworks Animation as their films are still doing well at the box-office, but anybody concerned with quality knows which direction to look as the final moments of this new trailer for the final installment in the Shrek franchise proves which animated house hasn’t completely sold out.

Shrek Forever After is set for release on May 21 and finds Shrek (voiced by Mike Myers) as a domesticated family man who now agrees to autograph pitch forks and longing for the days when he felt like a “real ogre,” until a shady deal with Rumpelstiltskin sends him into a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona have never met. Oh my!
