Yesterday the trailer for Harold Ramis’ Year One hit the Internet and while I added it to the trailer homepage I didn’t get a chance to promote it due to my prior engagements involving a little something called the NCAA Tournament as I am reporting from Vegas for the next few days.
Anyway, the film stars Jack Black and Michael Cera and is directed by that old familiar face Harold “Egon” Ramis. The film centers on a couple of lazy hunter-gatherers (Black and Cera) who are banished from their primitive village and as a result set off on an epic journey through the ancient world. Year One will be released by Columbia Pictures and is set to hit theaters on June 19. It is currently rated R for some sexual content and language, but Columbia is challenging that rating so I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up with a PG-13 in the end.
