The First 8 Minutes of Cameron Crowe’s Aloha

Columbia Pictures has debuted online the first eight minutes from Cameron Crowe’s latest, the ensemble comedy-drama Aloha. You can watch the footage below and you can also check out our review here.

Crowe, an Academy Award-winning filmmaker whose past credits include acclaimed films like Say Anything, Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous, both writes and directs Aloha, which features a cast that includes four time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper (American Sniper, Silver Linings Playbook), fellow Oscar nominees Emma Stone (The Help, The Amazing Spider-Man), Bill Murray (Lost in Translation, St. Vincent) and Alec Baldwin (The Departed, “30 Rock”), Rachel McAdams (Midnight in Paris, Sherlock Holmes), John Krasinski (“The Office,” Brief Interviews with Hideous Men) and Danny McBride (This is the End, “Eastbound and Down”).

In the film, a celebrated military contractor (Cooper) returns to the site of his greatest career triumphs – the US Space program in Honolulu, Hawaii – and reconnects with a long-ago love (McAdams) while unexpectedly falling for the hard-charging Air Force watchdog (Stone) assigned to him.

Produced by Scott Rudin and Crowe, Aloha opens in theaters on May 29.
