The first Elevation trailer is out, previewing the upcoming apocalyptic action thriller that sees Anthony Mackie and Morena Baccarin fighting to stay away from seemingly alien creatures.
What happens in the Elevation trailer?
The trailer doesn’t give away too much but does introduce Mackie, Baccarin, and Maddie Hasson’s characters as they venture out from their home to try and find supplies to help a sick child. As they do, they must cross into an area taken over by seemingly alien creatures, and fight to not only stay away from them, but make it back.

The movie comes as Mackie is set to have a big couple of years. After Elevation, the star will next appear in 2025’s Captain America: Brave New World, which is the actor’s first solo film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’ll also lend his voice to 2025’s The Electric State, a sci-fi adventure movie directed by the Russo brothers.
Elevation is directed by George Nolfi (The Adjustment Bureau) and written by John Glenn, Kenny Ryan, and Jacob Roman. Elevation reunites Mackie and Nolfi, as Mackie also starred in the 2011 sci-fi thriller The Adjustment Bureau. Alongside Mackie, Baccarin, and Hasson, Elevation also stars Tony Goldwyn and Danny Boyd Jr.
Elevation is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on November 8, 2024. “Set in the post-apocalyptic Rocky Mountains, a single father and two women venture from the safety of their homes to face monstrous creatures to save the life of a young boy,” reads the film’s official synopsis.
