The Fire Inside trailer details the story of Shields, arguably the greatest female boxer of all time, as she pushes past her limitations to grow from a high school fighter to an Olympic gold medal-winning boxer.
The Fire Inside is directed by Academy Award nominee Rachel Morris from a script written by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Barry Jenkins.

“The film is the inspirational true story of Claressa Shields, arguably the greatest female boxer of all time,” reads the synopsis. “Claressa, a high school Junior from Flint, Michigan, aided by her tough-love coach, Jason Crutchfield, pushes past all limitations to become the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing. But even at the pinnacle of success, Claressa has to reckon with the fact that not all dreams are created equal, and the real fight has only just begun.”
Alongside Destiny and Henry, The Fire Inside also stars Judy Greer (Arrested Development), Oluniké Adeliyi (Saw 3D), and De’Adre Aziza (Power Book II: Ghost). Executive producers are Lyn Lucibello Brancatella, Rachel Morrison, Claressa Shields, Drea Cooper, Zackary Canepari, and Sue Jaye Johnson.
