Prime Video has unveiled The Idea of You trailer for its upcoming romantic comedy starring Oscar winner Anne Hathaway.
The video highlights the unexpected romance between Hathaway’s single mom Solène and Nicholas Galitzine’s boy band member Hayes Campbell. The film will be available for streaming on May 2.

Who’s involved in The Idea of You?
“The film centers on Solène (Hathaway), a 40-year-old single mom who begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Galitzine), the lead singer of August Moon, the hottest boy band on the planet,” reads the synopsis. “When Solène must step in to chaperone her teenage daughter’s trip to the Coachella Music Festival after her ex bails at the last minute, she has a chance encounter with Hayes and there is an instant, undeniable spark. As they begin a whirlwind romance, it isn’t long before Hayes’ superstar status poses unavoidable challenges to their relationship, and Solène soon discovers that life in the glare of his spotlight might be more than she bargained for.”
The Idea of You is directed by Michael Showalter from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jennifer Westfeldt, based on Robinne Lee’s novel of the same name. The film also stars Ella Rubin, Annie Mumolo, Reid Scott, Perry Mattfeld, Jordan Aaron Hall, Mathilda Gianopoulos, Meg Millidge, Raymond Cham Jr., Jaiden Anthony, Viktor White, and Dakota Adan. It is produced by Hathaway, Showalter, Lee, Cathy Schulman, Gabrielle Union, Eric Hayes, and Jordana Mollick, with Westfeldt, Kian Gass, Douglas S. Jones, and Jason Babiszewski serving as executive producers.
