ComingSoon is debuting the exclusive trailer and poster for The Private Eye, an upcoming mystery romantic comedy starring comedian Matt Rife, Clare Grant, and more. It is set to premiere in over 100 theaters nationwide on Friday, February 9, 2024.
“Private investigator Mort Madison (Matt Rife) has seen his better days. A mysterious woman, Michelle (Clare Grant) hires him to spy on David (Elliot), whom he believed to be her lover,” reads the official synopsis for the film. “In the detective process Mort himself falls in love with Michelle and decides the only way he can be with her is by eliminating David from the equation. Mort hopes this will entice Michelle to run away with him and live happily ever after only to reveal a mind-blowing twist.”

The Private Eye is written and directed by Jack Cook, with Patrick Roe, Hope Ayiyi, and Rosalinda Books also credited as co-writers on the feature.
