A new Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom trailer has been released by RealD 3D, teasing the DC sequel’s 3D showings.
The trailer was posted to the official RealD 3D Twitter account, promoting the 3D showings that the film will have once it debuts in theaters on December 22. The trailer promises the sequel is “the most mind-blowing 3D experience since Avatar,” setting a high bar for the visual effect.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is once again directed by James Wan from a screenplay written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. The sequel features the return of Jason Momoa as he reprises the leading role of Arthur Curry/Aquaman. Joining him are various returning cast members, including Patrick Wilson as Orm, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Amber Heard as Mera, and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin.
It will also feature the introduction of new cast members in Game of Thrones alum Pilou Asbæk, Indya Moore (Pose, Escape Room: Tournament of Champions), Vincent Regan (300, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance), and Chinese-Portuguese actress Jani Zhao (Jogo Duplo, The Sugar Captains). Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is produced by Wan and frequent collaborator Peter Safran.
What is Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom about?
“After failing to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta wields the power of the mythic Black Trident to unleash an ancient and malevolent force,” reads the sequel‘s synopsis. “Hoping to end his reign of terror, Aquaman forges an unlikely alliance with his brother, Orm, the former king of Atlantis. Setting aside their differences, they join forces to protect their kingdom and save the world from irreversible destruction.”
