All of Us Strangers Video Highlights Two Different Kinds of Love

Searchlight Pictures has released a brand new All of Us Strangers video for its upcoming romantic fantasy drama, starring Fleabag‘s Andrew Scott and Aftersun‘s Paul Mescal.

The video features director Andrew Haigh, Scott, and Mescal discussing what the audience can expect to see from the film, which will revolve around Scott’s Adam. It also highlights Adam’s interconnecting storylines involving his blossoming romance with Mescal’s Harry, and dealing with his childhood trauma of losing his parents at a young age.

What is All of Us Strangers?

“One night in his near-empty tower block in contemporary London, Adam has a chance encounter with a mysterious neighbor Harry, which punctures the rhythm of his everyday life,” reads the synopsis. “As a relationship develops between them, Adam is preoccupied with memories of the past and finds himself drawn back to the suburban town where he grew up, and the childhood home where his parents, appear to be living, just as they were on the day they died, 30 years before.”

All of Us Strangers is written and directed by Andrew Haigh, inspired by Taichi Yamada’s 1987 novel Strangers. Joining Scott’s Adam and Mescal’s Harry are BAFTA winner Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) and Emmy winner Claire Foy (The Crown) as Adam’s parents. The film is produced by Graham Broadbent, Pete Czernin, and Sarah Harvey.

The film had its world premiere nearly a month ago at the 2023 Telluride Film Festival. It arrives in theaters on December 22.
