All of Us Strangers Trailer: Andrew Scott & Paul Mescal Lead Romantic Drama

Searchlight Pictures has released the official All of Us Strangers trailer for its upcoming romantic drama, starring Emmy nominee Andrew Scott and Oscar nominee Paul Mescal. The film had its world premiere nearly a month ago at the 2023 Telluride Film Festival. It is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 22.

The video introduces Adam and Harry, two strangers living in the same apartment building, who develop an intimate relationship with each other. As their feelings progress, Adam simultaneously finds himself reliving his childhood memories, which leads him back to his former house, where his supposedly dead parents unexpectedly appear before him.

Who’s involved in All of Us Strangers?

All of Us Strangers is written and directed by Andrew Haigh, inspired by Taichi Yamada’s 1987 novel Strangers. Joining Scott’s Adam and Mescal’s Harry are BAFTA winner Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) and Emmy winner Claire Foy (The Crown) as Adam’s parents. The film is produced by Graham Broadbent, Pete Czernin, and Sarah Harvey.

“One night in his near-empty tower block in contemporary London, Adam has a chance encounter with a mysterious neighbor Harry, which punctures the rhythm of his everyday life,” reads the synopsis. “As a relationship develops between them, Adam is preoccupied with memories of the past and finds himself drawn back to the suburban town where he grew up, and the childhood home where his parents, appear to be living, just as they were on the day they died, 30 years before.”
