Alice, Darling Trailer: Anna Kendrick Leads Psychological Thriller

Lionsgate has dropped the official Alice, Darling trailer for the upcoming psychological thriller drama starring Anna Kendrick. The film will arrive in select theaters on December 30, followed by a wide release on January 20.

The video begins with Kendrick’s Alice meeting her closest friends, who invite her to a week-long vacation. In order for her to join them, Alice must lie to her manipulative boyfriend. However, he eventually finds out and follows her on their vacation, where her friends discover that Alice is trapped in a toxic relationship.

Alice, Darling is directed by Mary Nighy from a screenplay written by Alanna Francis. Joining the Oscar nominee are Kaniehtiio Horn, Charlie Carrick, and Wunmi Mosaku.

“The film follows a woman pushed to the breaking point by her psychologically abusive boyfriend, Simon. While on vacation with two close girlfriends, Alice rediscovers the essence of herself and gains some much-needed perspective,” reads the synopsis. “Slowly, she starts to fray the cords of codependency that bind her. But Simon’s vengeance is as inevitable as it is shattering– and, once unleashed, it tests Alice’s strength, her courage, and the bonds of her deep-rooted friendships.”

Alice, Darling is produced by Katie Bird Nolan, Lindsay Tapscott, Christina Piovesan, and Noah Segal. It hails from Babe Nation Films and Elevation Pictures.
