The Invitation Trailer: Nathalie Emmanuel Gets Trapped at a Vampire Wedding

Sony Pictures has released an official trailer for The Invitation, the upcoming supernatural horror film starring Game of Thrones alum Nathalie Emmanuel. It is scheduled to make its debut in theaters on August 26.

The Invitation trailer, which you can check out below, features a woman named Evie who tries to connect with her mother’s side of the family. However, it turns out that there’s more to their generosity than meets the eye, as Evie suddenly finds herself being forced into a nightmare wedding with a bunch of vampires.

The Invitation is directed by Jessica M. Thompson from a screenplay written by Blair Butler. Joining Emmanuel are Thomas Doherty (Gossip Girl), Stephanie Corneliussen, Alana Boden, Courtney Taylor, Hugh Skinner, and Sean Pertwee.

“After the death of her mother and having no other known relatives, Evi takes a DNA test … and discovers a long-lost cousin she never knew she had,” reads the synopsis. “Invited by her newfound family to a lavish wedding in the English countryside, she’s at first seduced by the sexy aristocrat host but is soon thrust into a nightmare of survival as she uncovers twisted secrets in her family’s history and the unsettling intentions behind their sinful generosity.”

The Invitation is executive produced by Thompson and Michael P. Flannigan, with Emile Gladstone serving as a producers.
