Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time Season 2 Wraps Production

Prime Video has announced that production on the forthcoming second season of Amazon Studios’ fantasy action drama The Wheel of Time has been officially completed after nearly a year of filming in Prague and Morocco. All eight episodes of the first season are available for streaming on Prime Video.

To celebrate the production wrap of The Wheel of Time Season 2, the streamer has dropped a 32-second behind-the-scenes footage highlighting the season’s table read, set designs, and stunt works.

“Set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it, the story follows Moiraine, a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers,” reads the synopsis. “There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.”

Based on one of the most popular and enduring fantasy novel series of all time by Robert Jordan, The Wheel of Time features an ensemble cast led by Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney, Álvaro Morte, Sophie Okonedo, Kae Alexander, Madeleine Madden, Zoë Robins, Michael McElhatton, Barney Harris, Marcus Rutherford, Joshua Stradowski, Priyanka Bose, Taylor Napier, Emmanuel Imani, and more.

The Wheel of Time is developed and executive produced by Rafe Judkins, who also serves as the showrunner. It is also produced by Pike, with Harriet McDougal and Brandon Sanderson as consulting producers. The fantasy series is a production by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television.

Executive producers are Larry Mondragon and Rick Selvage of iwot productions, Mike Weber, Ted Field of Radar Pictures, Darren Lemke, Marigo Kehoe, and Uta Briesewitz, who have also directed the first two episodes.
