Monstrous Trailer: Christina Ricci Stars in Horror Film

Screen Media Films has released the official Monstrous trailer for its forthcoming horror thriller, starring Christina Ricci. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters and on VOD on May 13.

The video begins with a single mother as she moves into a new house with her young son in order to start a new life away from the trauma she endured under her abusive husband. Unbeknownst to her, she’s about to face a new monster in her life as she and her son get terrorized by a horrifying creature from the lake.

Monstrous is directed by Chris Sivertson from a screenplay written by Carol Chrest. It stars Christina Ricci (Yellowjackets), Colleen Camp (Clue), Santino Bernard (Penny Dreadful: City of Angels),  Don Baldaramos (Castle), and Nick Vallelonga (Green Book).

“A terrifying new horror awaits Laura and her seven-year-old son Cody when they flee her abusive ex-husband and try to settle into a new life in an idyllic and remote lakeside farmhouse,” reads the synopsis. “Still traumatized, their physical and mental well-being are pushed to the limit as their fragile existence is threatened.”

Monstrous is produced by Sasha Yelaun, B.I. Rosen, Johnny Remo, and Robert Yocum, with Adam Goldworth serving as an executive producer.
