Hotel Transylvania: Transformania Clip Drops Ahead of Next Week’s Debut

Amazon Prime Video has released a brand new clip for Sony Pictures Animation’s long-delayed animated sequel Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, which will finally make its debut next Friday on January 14. The video features Frank, Griffin, Murray, and Wayne, who are really loving Johnny’s monster transformation.

Originally set for a theatrical release, the final installment has been delayed a number of times due to the ongoing pandemic. Because of this, Sony has partnered with Amazon Prime Video in August for the distribution rights of the film.

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania will feature the voices of Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kathryn Hahn, Jim Gaffigan, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon, David Spade, Keegan-Michael Key, Brian Hull, Fran Drescher, Brad Abrell, and Asher Blinkoff.

Unlike the first three films, the final installment will not include Adam Sandler as the lead and voice of Dracula, after voicing the character in the first three films. The character will now be voice by Brian Hull, who first took over the role in the recently released short film Monster Pets.

“Drac and the Pack are back, like you’ve never seen them before in Hotel Transylvania: Transformania,” reads the synopsis. “Reunite with your favorite monsters for an all-new adventure that presents Drac with his most terrifying task yet. When Van Helsing’s mysterious invention, the ‘Monsterification Ray,’ goes haywire, Drac and his monster pals are all transformed into humans, and Johnny becomes a monster! In their new mismatched bodies, Drac, stripped of his powers, and an exuberant Johnny, loving life as a monster, must team up and race across the globe to find a cure before it’s too late, and before they drive each other crazy. With help from Mavis and the hilariously human Drac Pack, the heat is on to find a way to switch themselves back before their transformations become permanent.”
